Martial Arts: Failsafe is programmed with vast fighting knowledge, allowing him to easily overpower even highly experienced fighters, such as Batman, Robin, Orphan, Spoiler, Signal and Nightwing, even when some of them were mounting a combined assault. [3] In the process of creating failsafe plans to stop Justice Leaguers in the event that one of them went rogue (a process that would later lead to the Tower of Babel incident), Batman activated his artificially constructed Zur-En-Arrh persona and had him create an android capable of stopping him in case he ever took a life using technology from various cybernetic villains previously faced by the Justice League, including Amazo. After creating it Zur-En-Arrh removed the event from his memory so that in the event of a confrontation between a rogue Batman and the android the former would have no advantages. [1] Comes with Batman™ figure, 1 Batwing™, 2 projectile launchers, and 7 projectiles. For preschool kids ages 3-8 years Superhuman Strength: Failsafe possesses vast superhuman strength, he can easily overpower multiple people and toss them around with no effort and his blows deal devastating damage. [1] He can also keep the upper hand in a fight with many members of the Justice League. [4] Techno-Fission: The Murder Machine can split himself into multiple drone bodies to achieve virtual omnipresence, able to take over Detroit by himself while simultaneously fighting Cyborg and threatening Dr. Silas Stone in three different locations. [1]

Force Field: The Murder Machine can project a shield of energy to protect him from the Mother Box-fueled blasts of Cyborg. [1] Failsafe did not return to Gotham, and it would seem that their drone army has left the city, essentially freeing it from their control. [7]Batman then activates the teleported having reversed it ahead of time and this turns into Failsafe being teleported to the Hall of Justice where Failsafe falls for the traps it set for Batman. [5] Love Interests • Origins • Other Media • Publication History • Recommended Reading • Storylines • Video Games • Batman Family Bruce Wayne was born on Earth -44 to Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne. Earth -44 was located in the Dark Multiverse, a plane where all the failed universes went to die. When Bruce was a boy, his parents were killed and he was raised by his butler Alfred Pennyworth. In adulthood, he took up the name Batman to fight crime, and would become a founding member of the Justice League. Eventually Alfred was viciously murdered in the Batcave by members of Batman's rogues gallery. This drove Batman into a state of self-loathing as he deemed that Alfred's death was his fault.

Oddly, however, Batman doesn't seem to immediately recognize what Failsafe is, which is noteworthy given the assumption Failsafe was the creation of Bruce himself, as the robot emerged from a mechanical cocoon hidden in the Batcave. Monstrous Appearance: When the Alfred Protocol fused with Bruce, it transformed his body into a cybernetic monstrosity, unable to pass as human. Superhuman Reflexes: Failsafe's reaction time is enhanced to levels far greater than any human. He managed to catch Batman's cape while escaping by using his grapnel gun. [3]Superhuman Speed: Failsafe is much faster than any human. He was able to keep up on foot with the Batmobile, [3] and even catch up to Superman. [4] Masudaya’s robot quintet known as the Gang of Five is among the most famous of all Japanese space toys. Energy Projection: The Murder Machine can project blasts of energy from his hands strong enough to pierce the barrier allowed by a Green Lantern Ring. [1] When the Alfred Protocol was activated, it immediately began spreading itself like a virus, building itself new robotic bodies and holograms. Within a day of activation it systematically hunted down and executed every criminal in Arkham Asylum, as it deemed them threats to Batman. Seeking to tweak on the Protocol to bring down the extremity of the service, Batman allowed the Protocol to enter the Batcave's system despite Cyborg's pleas to shut him down. However, the Protocol took over Batman's mind as it believed he couldn't be trusted to keep himself safe. Alfred took away Bruce's ability to feel fear and sadness and then replaced Bruce's frail biological body with a mechanical one that would never fail him. With the addition of his faithful butler in his head and his mechanical upgrades Bruce began a campaign of mass murder, as the Protocol deemed everyone a threat to Bruce. [1]

Especially well known is the Nomura (also known as TN Toys) ‘mechanized robot’ which was clearly based on the ‘Robby’ robot from the 1956 film Forbidden Planet, if not officially. Thermokinetic Claws: Failsafe is equipped with scorching hot claws, capable of wounding both Martian Manhunter, [4] and Aquaman. [5]Murder Machine was introduced to Barbatos, the bat god, who was the caretaker of the Dark Multiverse. Barbatos sought to pull the Multiverse into the Dark Multiverse so that its inhabitants could learn what it meant to suffer. Barbatos promised each of his Dark Knights a world where they could forever reign as kings or gods if they served him. [2] Dark Nights
