Currently, no. The Razer Kitsune adheres to the rules of Street Fighter 6 as part of our partnership with Capcom. This means that pressing Left and Right simultaneously will result in a neutral input, as will Up andDown. They even sell a left-handed model at no extra cost… if you’re one of those weirdos. Mechanical Keyboards The Hit Box is a beast of a unit with large arcade style buttons. And you might notice it’s missing something. The buttons are also worth noting. They tend to be made with durability in mind and provide a nice tactile feel that makes each hit in the game feel extra satisfying to pull off. Another copy from Xbox controller I bet. Those D-pads are horrid. I had those on xbox 360 controllers. MS learned their lesson by not releasing such crappy D-pad.. other studios should take note on that. This is analog "d-pad". You can't play with that thing. You won't be able feel the D-pad as you should when you perform a special skill or super skill. Such a pitty. Don't buy it guys. Otherwise you're supporting it. Let them come up with a decent controller with everything good on and not half done

So, we've made mention of three prominent styles of controllers for fighting games, but which should you choose? I recently got a Hori Hayabusa and I love it. I also have a SN30 pro but I love me a good 6 button fight pad. This unfortunately hasn't sold me, although I love the Saturn feel. M30 seems a better overall proposal. The original PlayStation controller is a lovely blast from the past. Even though there are hundreds of modern controllers, sometimes it's better to have a simple and classic controller in your hands. Luffy, a fighting e-sports professional, won the 2014 EVO Grand Finals with a PS1 controller. He's living proof that you can win with any controller. So, the Fusion FightPad looks the part, but how does it actually perform? Can it really hold a candle to the Saturn controller, and does it supplant the 8BitDo M30 as the pad of choice for fighting game aficionados? Well, let's talk about that D-Pad first. Because it has a 'rolling' design it's well-suited for pulling off the smooth motions required for special moves in games like Street Fighter and King of Fighters, but, try as we might to shake the feeling, something doesn't feel quite right here. And, of course, it would be nice if you can hold the controller for long periods of time without your hands cramping up. So ergonomics are also gonna’ be important.Flip a switch to swap functionality of triggers and shoulder buttons. Play with a traditional top button layout, or access all 8 action buttons with your right hand It disables the buttons along the top edge of the controller, which includes the menu/pause button. This feature is important for tournament play, as accidentally pausing the game can cause you to forfeit the round based on tournamentrules. The Brook Sniper Converter is something completely different! Although it's primarily aimed at bringing mouse/keyboard functionality to console FPS titles, fighting game fans can also take advantage of it when it comes to tournament play, especially if they're more comfortable with the control scheme. The Hit Box controller by Hit Box Arcade has a gigantic reputation in the fight game community as one of the goto setups for advanced level players. The Razer Panthera, considered serious hardware for dedicated gamers, is compatible with PC, PS3, and PS4. Many professionals use and recommend it because of the ample room, Sanwa Denshi buttons, the board, and the gate. Razer Panthera is customizable, and the manufacturer consistently offers updates.

Since 1982, PCMag has tested and rated thousands of products to help you make better buying decisions. Read our editorial mission & see how we test. As more fighting games appear, new competitions launch, and new streamers start playing them. If you look at professional players and streamers, you'll notice they use different controllers than you have at home. So, you may ask yourself: which controllers work best for fighting games? Well, we have an excellent list of contenders for beginners and pros alike! It is much less common, but still not uncommon to see gamers using a keyboard at tournaments. Some people have even won tournaments with old crusty keyboards. And it makes sense… a lot of gamers play on PC and started with what they had… a mouse and a keyboard. But we enjoy good combat, just like the next guy. Plus, I personally fight in real life, so… *cool guy alert* Whatever your favorite flavor of fighting game and whatever your level of skill, what are gonna be some of the absolute best controllers? Unlike a restrictive 4-way D-pad, the Razer™ Mecha-tactile 8-way D-pad allows you to streamline your execution with clean diagonal inputs so that you can perform moves with greater precision. I will admit I had a bit of an embarrassing moment as I didn’t realize the shoulder button layout was different until I was deep into a few matches of Mortal Kombat 11. I kept trying to execute a Fatal Blow by pressing L2 + R2 simultaneously with no success, and was certain that there was something wrong with the controller. It’s not until I realized the unique layout was intentional, allowing me to perform this ability with just my right hand.

Street Fighter controller with a Vewlix-style design featuring 6 action buttons to drain your enemy’s life bar Next, the Hitbox. We think it's a fantastic design that offers the best accuracy and precision possible, making it perfect for those aiming for the top. Ultimately, however, it's a strange design that isn't suited for every game. The more fast-paced your game or character is, the more likely you are to trip over your own fingers. We suggest you try out this controller once you're more well-versed in the medium and want to min-max your performance. You might think that 8BitDo's take on the classic SNES controller would be a bad fit for fighting games, but that's not the case. Instead, the SN30 Pro (and its Super Famicon-inspired SF30 equivalent) are superb for beat-downs, thanks mainly to an excellent D-Pad. Bristling with top-tier features that enhance your control and execution, this is the evolution you need to reach the top of the food chain.

The center column still has the central PS4 components. The share and options buttons are round and circular. There’s a touchpad, which looks small, but is actually about the same size as the original. Razer moved the PS button up to just below the touchpad because the Raion does not have an internal speaker. Below that, there are a pair of buttons – one mutes your mic, the other is one-button volume control. Press together, they also enable tournament mode, which turns off the menu or system-level buttons. If you need something that feels a bit beefier, they sell a metal plate for the bottom that will add the weight and make it feel more secure.

This fighting game controller’s face buttons are designed slightly larger than the industry standard, which means there’s less chance of you missing an input because they’re easier tohit.
