Has anyone here used any of these controllers with Ableton, Max or other DAWs to generate/send MIDI? Come join the discussion about computing, builds, collections, displays, models, styles, scales, specifications, reviews, accessories, classifieds, and more! The drumkit is top-notch in build quality, very sturdy in any height it allows you to, and the pads work very well. Drumming is not so difficult after all, you just follow the dots projected on the wall (bit like in karaoke), get the rhythm and hit it. The drum pads are surrounded by a significant amount of seemingly superfluous plastic, which is angled upwards and houses the control pod and cymbal mounts.

He wears a white sleeveless Audio-Technica shirt, blue shorts, black shoes, a red baseball cap, and black fingerless gloves. I haven't tried it as a wireless controller - it did cross my mind but it was so simple and quick to plug in via midi cable I didn't bother looking into it. With both of the major music game franchises taking two distinctly different approaches to the drum kit controller and both being supported interchangeably, it's important to kit that suits you best.I bought the drumkit as I was planning on using it for Rock Band 2, and I have not (fully) regretted it! Also, the bass pedal is weaker on the original Rock Band drum set, and can crack easily if played in the wrong fashion. Perhaps its our significant lack of skill, but as a result of the low-clearance cymbals, we too often found ourselves hitting the bottom of the cymbal on the way back up from a strike with our stick. Guitar Hero World Tour/ Metallica/ Smash Hits/ Van Halen: The Guitar Hero drum kit's orange cymbal would be merged with the Rock Band drum kit's blue pad. You'll find real reviews of guitar hero drums that will give you all the information you need to make a well-informed purchase decision.

Its pads were a lot nicer IMHO than the Rock Band kit (a bit quieter, far better rebound), but the cymbals were silly and didn't feel terribly responsive. If your red drum head is non-functional, or maybe your orange cymbal, or really any problem that the Activision support page doesn't address, this is the place to be. This was a great unique experience, we did this with two people and it was still really fun but I can imagine with 6 people the energy levels and enthusiasm is even more!Wireless - Would be nice if the brain comunicated with my Mac wirelessly via bluetooth or a USB dongle. Thanks again for the advice, still leaning towards the Logitech kit for portability, but not sure about the quality of the kick pedal or whether or not it allows for custom made kick triggers or units like the roland kd-7 or kd-8.
