Description

The adapter only works properly (autofocuses) with Nikon's newest lenses, which are those with built-in AF motors ( AF-I, AF-S and AF-P).

If the F-mount lens you're using has its own tripod mount, use it instead of the tripod mount of the Mount Adapter FTZ. Also very little about what is actually interesting - how Nikon managed to re-work and re-design the motor in the FTZ. The FTZ Mount Adapter lets you use F-mount lenses when you shoot stills or video with your Nikon Z camera. They just came out with a new adapter *this year* for A-mount lenses, which date back well over 20 years ago. which DSLRs can't do with their modern laser-cut bright screens that replaced true ground glass back in the 1980s.Delivering speed, image quality, and connectivity, the Nikon Z 9 is a professional-grade camera characterized by its newly developed sensor, advanced AF performance, and high-resolution 8K video recording. Nikon, like many convergent technology companies, have dedicated teams developing various product lines.

I have several AF-D lenses, and although I'd prefer to have full compatibility with my Z7ii, I'm glad my older MF lenses work better than ever! Nikon is a little late to the fully electronic mount party (30 years) but I'm sure the Z mount will be much better and more compatible moving forward.FTZ: Nikon specifies 70 mm diameter (excluding significant projections x 80mm long, but I suspect the correct length (thickness) is 30. For example, Tamron's 15-30 G2 comes in at around 1100g which is a little shy of what Nikon says is "safe" to suspend from the Z mount (plus you have to add in the weight of the FTZ which is another 195g I believe, bringing the whole contraption to about 1300g.
