I like hyacinth in perfume - an infrequently used note - as it brings back springtime childhood memories. Unfolds on your skin with a fascinating blend of tropical wetness, zesty freshness and bursting florals. This definitely appears to be a love or hate thing and I love it- lots of tropical floral notes, and it lasts for quite a long time. All my original ones are absolutely fine and I can compare because I have bought the "new" ones in the boring 50 ml bottle, the difference is the amount of oil they have taken off.

Every flower blooms at once, not gently or slowly while you are not looking, but immediately and with quite a bit of urgency. Almost all perfumes have bergamot, although I do not know the reason, or if it is to do with the fact that the scent of bergamot is considered aphrodisiac but I can name very few perfumes which do smell of bergamot, and this is one of them.My mom wore this a lot when I was a kid and it always reminds me of libraries probably because she was a lit teacher who read a lot. And very unlike fresheners, although in these days room fragrances have evolved into masterpieces themselves. It’s so over the top I can’t help but laugh and then once that dies down I continue to huff my wrist and smile the smile of a happy perfumista. Thought I would love this based on the notes and description - but unfortunately it reminds me of cat urine - such a shame!

This feels like the pure source material for so many bath products that have followed -- in a good way! If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. It's exactly how I expect Heaven to smell like, Hyacinth, Hibiscus, Orange Blossoms, Orchids, Arabian Jasmine, Gardenia and Honey Suckle brushed along Amber and clean Musky air of Heaven fallen into the crystal clear streams, then in this bottle. It has that fresh, vivid, soothing vibe of spring and early summer flowers, with all the leaves, and grass and dewdrops.

It's a heavy, very floral scent, reminiscent of holidays a tropical paradise full of jasmines and gardenia and all sorts of wonderful things like that. It was unfortunate that the formula had turned which explains the "decaying of flowers smell" and such, as other reviewers have mentioned.

As it develops on the skin it becomes a little warmer and more fruity-spicy, but the cellophane stays through the dry down. Pack your imaginary bags with the most expensive exotic designer bikini and floaty wrap you wish you had and let down your beautiful, glossy, luxuriant hair. Very difficult to point notes, because they don't work separately but more like an all-together work.

Recently, I bought a big bottle waiting to smell that exotic scent BUT nothing reminded of it anymore. A fragrance fantasy and an intoxication of the senses Estée Lauder’s Beyond Paradise Eau De Parfum transports you to a perfect world of optimism and wonder. This smells very summery, but sometimes I like to wear summer fragrances in the winter, like a little olfactory vacation.

Old Herbaceous: I don’t wear it often, but it’s a lovely fragrance for warm weather or a beach vacation. I do remember it was a good deal, and the pretty blue ombre bottle variation *may* have overly influenced my decision.On my skin, it's mostly the same honeysuckle I used to smell, outside the backdoor of my mum's house, as a child. This is a gorgeous fragrance on those it suits and who can fully appreciate its delicate, prismatic beauty. And the question does arise quite naturally in inquiring perfumistas' minds: How many ugly bottles of this repugnant stuff were sold blind subsequent to the publication of The Guide? But I get syrupy grapefruit and humid honeysuckle and - I kid you not- a sort of sweet paraffin smell!
