Note: We may not always follow the above procedure, such as in the case of persistent and/or aggressive behaviour. In such we will suspend the pupil immediately. The management will then decide what steps to take. only to assess the overall level of the class and not to assess any individual child, which means that there will be However, it has been brought to light that according to the government’s latest Covid-19 guidelines, madrasahs cannot open fully until April 12 th 2021. Parents will be responsible for any damage caused by their children to the property of the Masjid or Madrasa If you do not meet any of the aforementioned criteria, then your child can continue with Zoom lessons/phone calls.

Please do not take extended holidays during Madrasa time as this disrupts the learning of your child and thus, as a result, he/she will fall behind and will not reach the progress/learning targets. Homework/Sabaq is given to the children daily. This includes practicing reading, memorization, recognition and written work (for secondary years). Parents must ensure their children are completing this work every day at home. We expect children to complete/learn their Madrasa work for at least 20-30 minutes a day. Please put donations in an envelope labelled as “Car Park Donation” and hand it in to your child’s class teacher or the madrasah office. If you would like to make a donation via the bank, please use the following details: If your child is absent for any valid reason, you must phone the Imam. The register is taken every day and a monthly record of your child’s progress is kept; this can be viewed by parents upon request to find out how much their child is progressing. IMPORTANT: Although attending the Madrasa on time is important, we would like to strongly point out to you that you do not send your child very early (15-20 minutes before lesson begins). The earliest our doors will be open for the children is 4.25pm and second shift 5.40pm.Having accumulated more than 3 million users across 50 countries, Madrasa is a testament to the UAE’s efforts to support people regardless of where they may be,” explained Dr. Waleed Al Ali. Since its inception in October 2018, more than 75 million lessons have been provided to Arabic learners from around the world and Madrasa Arabic 688 videos received 38 million views to date. Please do not bring the Masjid into disrepute by your actions outside. Remember everyone is an ambassador for our religion! We must not damage the reputation of the Masjid through our actions out in the community. If, during the madrasah opening hours (4.45pm – 7.00pm) you need to attend medical appointments or must tend to a medical need or have to attend a Support Group, then you will also be eligible to send your child to madrasah for the one hour slot from Monday 15 th March. As the Easter holidays were cancelled earlier this month, we have amended the Ramadhan holidays to reflect the Due to the ongoing Covid situation, different classes will have fun days on different days. Closer to the time, we will

Vulnerable Children are those children who have been identified as otherwise vulnerable by the Madrasah or Local Authorities (including Children’s Social Care Services), and who could therefore benefit from continued attendance to madrasah. Such children might include: Jazakallahu Khairan for your understanding, patience and co-operation in these testing and unprecedented times. Finally, we, the staff and Management Committee of Darul Quran Madrasah, would like to thank parents/carers for your continued support, patience, understanding and co-operation in these testing, confusing and unprecedented times. All children are first given a 1 week trial after which the Madrasa will decide whether to keep them on permanently or not. In addition to this, parents to be called in for a meeting with the Principal. At this stage we expect the issue to be resolved and the problem should no longer exist.

Fun Day will include: a bouncy castle, indoor football, soft archery and tug of war amongst other activities. Please let us know if your child cannot participate in certain activities The login details for Zoom Classes will be the same as before. Timings will be sent to you before Tuesday.

At Al Madina Masjid Islamic centre, we hope to inculcate Islamic manners and character in all the children. We expect parents to uphold and encourage their children to practice what they have learnt in Madrasa at home too; an aspect of our teaching includes the respect and obedience that you would expect from your children towards yourself; similarly, teachers also deserve the same respect and obedience. Always show respect to other students, Madrasa teachers and other staff regardless of their race or skin colour and British Values (most are derived from the teachings of Islam). inshaAllah inform all the classes on an individual basis as to when their fun day will be and letters will also be sent If children in older classes have siblings in younger classes then they will be given home time according to the

Madrasa is a leading e-learning platform launched in 2018 under the umbrella of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Initiatives (MBRGI). The platform aims to respond to the need to develop and enrich Arabic educational content and make it accessible to the largest segment of students. It provides exceptional Arabic language educational content for all subjects like science and mathematics for free. With the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Madrasa was able to broaden its scope of action and launched the “‘Madrasa in a Bag”, a classroom in a bag, containing Madrasa’s whole library of content and material, ready to be deployed anywhere without the need to connect to the internet. In this way, Madrasa was able to support students and education authorities around the world, reaching the leaners most at risk of being left behind and marginalized. For this reason, Madrasa was also one of the recommended online learning resources by UNESCO, ISESCO, and many education ministries in the Arab world.

There will be no madrasah for tomorrow ONLY(Monday 31 stMay) for all normal classes. We do realise that schools are off for half term and ideally we try our level best to give all holidays in line with school holidays. With the extra time given off for Ramadhan / Eid ul fitr and the extra time that will be given off for Eid ul Adha it is not feasible to give these half term holidays as well. As you are already aware the childrens` madrasah education has already suffered greatly due to Covid–19 and giving more holidays will only impact their education further.Due to an increase in the number of coronavirus cases in Bolton plus the fact that many families will have mixed together at Eid, we feel it’s best to keep Madrasah teaching online for this week. Children and Young people on the edge of receiving support from children’s social care services or in the process of being referred to Children’s Services The learning environment for children is very important to us. We want children to feel happy, secure and valued.
