Broadway Lodge opens new Recovery Centre.

Following a successful bid to the Department of Health, with matched funding from Broadway and positive support from North Somerset CSDAT, Broadway has recently established a new Recovery Centre. The Centre is on the Broadway campus and through a variety of practical and therapeutic activities, aims to support people living in North Somerset with the development and maintenance of quality recovery from addiction.

We have secured some funding from the CSDAT to provide a range of therapeutic programmes, activities and workshops designed to support people recovering from drug addiction and promote social integration and healthy living.  At the Recovery Centre clients will be able to access:

  • 12 Step Daycare
  • Aftercare
  • Recovery Support Group
  • IT facilities and basic training
  • Parenting advice
  • Cookery Club
  • Physical activities eg 5-a-side football and yoga
  • Music and Art Workshops
  • Courses and workshops covering life skills and healthy living
  • Complimentary Therapies
  • 24 hour, 7 day per week relapse prevention service incorporating a phone line and drop-in

We have begun to establish links with the Carlton Centre, Voluntary Action North Somerset (VANS), Weston Works and Alliance Homes to see how we can work together to support clients with any educational, training, employment, and housing issues.

The Recovery Centre aims to be able to help strengthen the recovery community within North Somerset.  We will be establishing a peer support/mentoring scheme which will involve training volunteers in recovery with the skills to provide structured assistance to others e.g. through the relapse prevention service. We also provide office space and support to the North Somerset Service User Forum (SURF).

For more information on any of the services provided at the Recovery Centre please call 01934 818019 or email RecoveryCentre@broadwaylodge.co.uk
